Specific Design: This product is a high protein supplement suitable for feeding to calves and lambs from 2 days old. Contains high quality protein sources and provides essential amino acids, trace minerals and vitamins for optimum growth. Feeding of grain diets to young calves and lambs aids in rumen development. Contains an ionophore for improved feed conversion efficiency and coccidiosis control.

This product does not contain restricted animal material. It should be fed only to calves and lambs.

This product is best stored under cool and dry conditions and used within 6 months of production date.

Feeding Instructions: Calf & Lamb Pellets should be offered ad-lib with fresh clean straw as a roughage source. It is important that calves and lambs have access to cool, fresh drinking water at ALL times.

Can be fed as a creep feed to suckling calves and lambs.

Wesfeeds Cattle Weaner Pellets are recommended for calves over 12 weeks of age or 100 kg liveweight.

If a milk replacer is required, we recommend the use of Ultra-Grow Milk Replacer for calves and Ultra-Lamb Milk Replacer for lambs. ALL milk replacers should be fed according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Example Feeding Programmes Using Ultra-Grow Milk Replacer and Calf & Lamb Pellets.

Calf Feeding

1. Early weaning - Once daily feeding

Mix 170 grams Ultra-Grow Milk Replacer per litre of warm water:

Day 1	-	Colostrum only
Day 2 - 14	-	2.5 litres twice daily, ad-lib Calf & Lamb Pellets and straw.
Day 15 - 42	-	3 litres twice daily, dd-lib Calf & Lamb Pellets and straw.

Wean abruptly at six weeks if calf is consuming 800 grams of Calf & Lamb Pellets per day. Continue feeding Calf & Lamb Pellets to 12 weeks. Smaller calves may need to be weaned later.

2. Early weaning - Twice daily feeding

Mix 100 grams Ultra-Grow Milk Replacer per litre of warm water:

Day 1	-	Colostrum only
Day 2 - 14	-	1.5 litres twice daily, ad-lib Calf & Lamb Pellets and straw.
Day 15 - 21	-	2.5 litres twice daily, dd-lib Calf & Lamb Pellets and straw.
Day 22 - 42	-	3.5 litres twice daily, ad-lib Calf & Lamb Pellets and straw.

Wean abruptly at six weeks if calf is consuming 800 grams of Calf & Lamb Pellets per day. Continue feeding Calf & Lamb Pellets to 10 - 12 weeks. Smaller calves may need to be weaned slightly later.

Example Feeding Programme using Ultra-Lamb Milk Replacer and Calf & Lamb Pellets.

Lamb Feeding

Mix 200 grams Ultra-Lamb Milk Replacer per litre of warm milk:

Day 1	-	Colostrum only
Day 2 - 7	-	170 mls three times daily, introduce Calf & Lamb Pellets.
Day 8 - 14	-	330 mls three times daily, ad-lib Calf & Lamb Pellets and straw.
Day 15 - 21	-	700 mls twice daily, ad-lib Calf & Lamb Pellets and straw.
Day 22 - 42	-	850 mls twice daily, ad-lib Calf & Lamb Pellets and straw.

Wean at six weeks but continue to offer 200-300 grams per day of Calf & Lamb Pellets until TEN weeks.

Initially offer only as many pellets as the animal will consume daily. Remove any residual feed and feed it to older calves or lambs.

It is important to ensure good quality fresh water is always available.
